It’s hard

When I was little I was teased severely from elementary through high school. So I never made friends. When I went to college nothing changed. If I wasn’t at school I was at work or at my parents house helping my father dealing with cancer.

I think that is the problem with this anxiety that I don’t have anyone I can call or go to lunch with or talk to. I go to the gym and see all these people laughing and talking and I’m alone.

I just wanted to put this out in the universe…

I know the feeling unfortunately. I was teased cause I was bigger than the other kids I went to school with. Then I was bullied by my 3rd grade teacher. I had a friend who lived next door to me but she was 15 yrs old. There was another girl named Angelica but she moved away. There wasn't any kids on my block who I went to school with. I had "friends" but never the kind of friends that would talk on the phone or go to each other houses. It's weird I was never considered to be a part of their lives. I was always alone.

It wasn't until I was out of school is when I actually made life long friends. That is thanks to the internet. I attended weddings to 2 of my oldest friends and I met them on an online forum. Ain't that something? One of those friends actually lives in town.
