Just started 50 mg of desvenlafaxine for anxiety and depression. Does anyone have experience with this medicine, how you getting on with it?

That is Pristiq, correct? I was on it for a while. Couldn’t up the dose because it would raise my blood pressure dramatically... so for me it was not the right med. but if you have no side effects I think it could be a good one.

Yes that is correct, actually I went off because of headache and blurred vision. So now am trying Zoloft.

You mentioned headaches and blurred vision I have started to experience this over the past week, headaches are so bad all day long, very shaky too. I was taking diazepam before which I think were keeping them under control. You are the first person in here that I’ve heard suffered with these. Really struggling

How are you doing on the Zoloft? What’s the dose you are on? I was switched to Zoloft a few months ago. Feel it helps but I am now at 125 mg.. menopause PLUS anxiety and depression

Have only been on it for 6 days now. I do feel some relief from anxiety. I have been taking 25 mg, but will go up to 50 mg on day 8. So not really enough time to know.

I’ve been on for 4 yrs with great success after titrating up to 100 mg after starting on the 50mg. No side effects at all

Did you start primarily for depression or anxiety?

I had both. But anxiety was really strong... I was told Zoloft is the best for anxiety... I just hope it will get better at some point. 2 days on 150 now .... and praying it will get better. Hrt. Therapy etc. I’m doing it all but difficult relationship.....so that is really at the bottom of it all...Thx for listening and good luck to you. Really great drug w very little to no side effects even at a higher dose.
