Living with BiPolar

So recently I was diagnosed with BiPolar 1 and major depression. Sometimes more then not I have a overwhelming feeling of unhappiness, loneliness, worthlessness and lack of motivation for a future.

Does anyone have thoughts?

I am not Bipolar but I do struggle with the depression symptoms you are talking about. I have felt worthless, lonely, and unhappy my whole life. And I have always severely struggled with motivation. Sometimes I will attempt to get up and eat because I haven't eaten for like 16 hours only to tell myself "what's the point" and crawl back into bed. I have forgotten to drink water and do other basic things. The way out of this, at least from everything is I have gathered is to create a schedule and just start doing things. It doesn't work right away and it will be a struggle but having this routine will help you cope with the depression. And over time, should allow you to realized that the down times are only temporary and if you keep pushing you will come out the other side happy. Best wishes to you friend.

Hi sorry you are down atm I hope things improve , Im sure they will, my husband has type 1 bipolar and the thing concerning me atm is that bi polar has 2 states of mind one is manic the other is depressed but usually people are on one drug , but when you are depressed you need a different type of drug to when you are manic obvs this isn't an easy thing to manage , have you only just been diagnosed? ,
