I’m new on here. Really having a lot of anxiety today and feeling lonely, negative self talk. Fears about new job and being alone. It’s not ALL bad of course. I’m thankful for many things but would like to learn to be kinder to myself. What works for you? Has anyone tried Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques? Thanks for reading my post!

DBT which is similar. Yoga and Brené brown were game changers. Yoga is exercise of course but I had a great community. Every time I went a teacher would say you are perfect or you are right where you need to be. Those are part of a good yoga practice world. It might sound like just words but mantras work. I get that at YWA but it was better in person.
Brené brown is not just an Oprah invention. She is a real shame researcher who trains or trained therapists to have workshops and use her teachings. Being kinder to yourself is part of it. She teaches what shame vs guilt is. Empathy towards yourself and others is the antidote but it is a cultivated practice.
And today I am going to spend time weaving welcome! Namaste!
I am going through CBT now but I really can’t buy into it it’s all done online now because of the Pandemic...I am not very good at putting how I feel down on paper I would sooner do it face to face but over here in England not many places are offering that at the moment 😌
