Why is this world so ugly? I know there are good people in this world. But we have lost our compassion for others. I notice this everyday. People aren’t as friendly as they used to be. It’s almost like the things going on in today’s society have hardened them. I just read a story where this church wanted to open their doors all night for homeless to have a warm place to go and the mayor said they weren’t allowed. I remember when I was kid we knew everyone in town and if someone needed help everyone pitched in. Now it’s hard to even get a smile when you walk into a store. It just makes me sad.

You are absolutely right in saying that a lot of people aren’t kind enough. But that is why it is so important, for those of us who ARE kind, to share our kindness with others and bring hope to all who need it. Just remember that you can make a big difference, for the better in this world, just by being the kind person that you are. Lead by example. And I am confident that you will do this.
