Scared my symptom won’t go away

Hey everyone. Im in my teens and have been struggling with this ongoing off-balance/swaying / rocking on a boat symptom. Been to the doctor many times and nothing is wrong health wise. There’s been days where I could barely get out of bed. My legs feel wobbly and sometimes it’s accompanied with the feeling that I might faint. My wisdom teeth are in the process of coming in (going to get them out hopefully by summer if this yr) and it’s been putting pressure on my jaw, specifically the left side. I think I developed TMJ from it which I am in the process of being treated for. I read that TMJ can sometimes affect the ear and disrupt something inside it that can lead to the off balance I described. It’s been causing me anxiety and i get scared that I won’t be able to live life normally

Hi, Mimi1114. I am sorry that you are struggling with these sensations. Maybe you need to see a different doctor, Honey.

Hey Mimi. I get that sensation sometimes as well. I've never fallen or fainted though. You will absolutely be able to live life normal. Anxiety causes all sorts of physical symptoms. I used to get so hypersensitive and aware of every little sensation or zap. When anxiety interrupted my sleeping is when fatigue would cause these sensations. I'm happy to hear your doctor says you're healthy! That's something to remember and be grateful for. Keep your head up and get some rest.

Hi Mimi,Go and see your dentist, they understand this more.

I have suffered with bad tmj/tmd (disorder) in the past.

Your haw hurts through clenching your teeth when anxious or in your sleep. It can give you headaches, ringing in your ears, your neck, shoulders and even you back can hurt. This can cause you to feel weird, off balance and swaying, just like you describe, sometimes a little sickly. It can also affect your legs, as it travels down your back. Can even affect your digestion. It's not easily fixable, but it's nothing serious!

This may all sound a bit strange but, Google (Dental Distress) and read all about it.

Best Wishes x
