Honeynectar, I am sorry that happened. It is ok to not be perfect. Don't worry about how you came across to the other people in Zoom.
If you tend to feel super anxious when being called on you can always say "Can you restate the question so I make sure I understand?" That gives your brain time to calm down and formulate an answer.
You can also talk to your teacher about calling on you before the question is stated so you can make sure you hear the whole question.
If you think you kind of know, go ahead an prompt your answer with, "I am not 100% sure, is it like ....?" Then the teacher will reexplain it.
I am proud you showed up.
I am proud you will keep showing up.
No one likes being wrong.
No one is perfect.
This is how we learn.
Before you exit this message, tell yourself 3 things that you did well that day. Focus on what you can do and your heart will follow.
It's true what the others are saying, we all make mistakes. I'm 60 and still get answers wrong or look stupid...it just happened last Friday at a work Zoom meeting. I make a polite comment about something the presenter was saying and then she asked me to elaborate and I really couldn't. Yeah I felt stupid (and I'm always making a fool of myself), but we need to let those things go. Trust me, no one else is even thinking about it and life is too short to waste time on those things! We all have to keep moving forward and not dwell on the past (sometimes I tend to dwell on the negative past issues and I wish we could all dwell on the positive. I wonder why we as humans do that?!). Anyway, have a great day and try to remember that you are not alone!
That's not a bigee! Take a deep breath & move on.
