Effectsor withdraws? Medication feelings. Venting.

It anyone here take unusually high amounts of effectsor . I take like 250 mg. I accidently forgot to take it for two days and now its almost like my eyes can't stay together and I'm... glitching for lack of a better term. I have had an insanely stressful two years and I hate feeling like I have to take medication to even act normal. And taking this medication along with others its like my body is somewhat away from its breaking point. But at the cost of having a hard time feeling tired. I don't get hungry. I do normal daily tasks because I feel like I need to. To survive. And now that I'm glitching its like my eyes can't stay together. When I sit down I basically fall down. Like my eyes couldn't focus on the chair long enough to find it. Sorry this is more of a venting. I just joined. I got my diagnosis the other day only to find out that my rock. (,cousin that has been helping me through it) just disappeared. She won't return my text messages. I can't help but feel like it's me driving people away. Anyways. Just venting here.

BrianTR missing 2 high doses of your medication can very well be causing these side effects.

Have you called your doctor or pharmacist regarding how you are feeling? I would hope that as soon as you realized you missed 2 days, you took a dosage. You will probably have to ride it through for a couple days to get back on track. Let us know how you feel? :) xx

Thank you and yeah I have done it before. I'm hoping to get on different medications but every psychiatrist doesn't have an opening for like 4 months. Sadly. And I hate taking my 1mg klonipin.

Brian are you skipping your Klonopin as well? Doctor may not have any openings but

a phone call regarding your medications can give you professional advice. We just don't

have the knowledge regarding meds. Want to keep you safe and free from side effects :) xx

I'm on Effexor, high dose.

I'm not clear on what you are saying. Is it a new med?

If you forgot to take it you just resume when you realize your mistake. Those feelings should not last if they are medication related.

Call your doctor

Hi Brisn., I can’t add too much to the other responses. I took Effexor for a number if years and it worked well for me. Never try making up for a missed dose. Get back on track and you’ll feel better. But by all means contact your doc. And welcome to the group! You”ll love it here and we’ll love having you. A win-win situation!

Hi Brian,

I used to take high dosage of Effexor XR. After 50lbs weight gain I stopped taking it and had your symptoms. I had to go to my physician and get lower dosages in order to quit taking the medication and to help stop the side effects. I would definitely keep taking it until you can see your doctor. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

The glitching and floating head feeling will not go away until your doctor slowly decreases the dosage.

I hope this helps
