Reading Edgar Allan Poe's poem, "The Raven," as a child changed my life forever.

The Four Agreements by Dom Miguel Ruiz

I read this once a year. It's based on ancient Toltec wisdom.

I do my best to abide by the agreements as part of my path to happiness and peace.

Yes! I just read through the cover where it briefly touches on the four agreements... be impeccable with your word, don’t take anything personally, don’t make assumptions, and always do your best. Just meditating on this makes for a happier life.

I agree, that's why I read it every year. Absorb the info and do the best I can with it.He has a five agreement book out now I believe.

I may get that.

Take care Star

Yes I'm doing well ty. Some ups and downs over the past few weeks. But exercise and meditation help me so much.

How are you today?

Same here. I took a jog this morning first thing and I’m just about to do a meditation. I feel like you are my twin ... since we are also both striving for peace.

Awareness....Anthony de mello ....tell you a little story from it ....there was once a golden eagle egg 🥚

that was hatched out by chickens..🐓....and it spent its time doing chicken stuff ...scratching about on the floor for food ....then one summers day 🌤☀️....he looked into the sky and saw a magnificent eagle 🦅 flying around in the blue sky .......wow he said ....I wish I was an eagle ...😀

I once read "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" given to me by a good friend and it changed my life forever! I was enthralled by it. I would recommend it to anyone, child, adult, or oldster.

Quite honestly I've read a number of books, but I would never say a book or a story changed my life, because only I can do that!!!! Anyhow, I'm not a huge fan of Joyce Meyer's, but I will say I found her book, "Battlefield of the Mind" to be quite interesting. And I really like 2 books by Les Brown, "Live Your Dreams" and "It's Not Over till You Win."

"Mind Over Mood" by Greenberger and Padesky. This continues to be a terrific help to me for dealing with depression and anxiety.

Am also reading "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle. Has revolutionized my outlook on life.

for me it's gotta be: daring greatly, by brene brown.

it's the closest thing to an operators manual on being human that i've ever read. i've read it 3x in the last year; and everytime i feel like i need a 'reset' - i'll do it again!

HIGHLY recommend.
