Trouble sleeping

I'm new here and feeling very anxious I've been having trouble sleeping and the more trouble I have the more anxious I get and it just cycles. Does anyone understand?

Hi - Thanks for joining today,

Your right that your fear of Not sleeping increases the more your Can't sleep..

I finally sleep normally after 12 years of sleeping about one hour a night, many nights no sleep at all..

The solution is totally different for each person, so advice is somewhat impotent at helping you.

I know it doesn't help, but what solved the problem for me was right before going to bed eating something, taking a Melatonin sleep hormone pill and believe it or not, a hit of pot, legal in the state of California...

I told my Probation officer this and he's all for it and happy I am finally sleeping normally. I feel a million times better every day. I will Never neglect my sleeping again!

And cops are not against us and feel

Very offended when we think this way..

Gotta say something nice for the boys in blue... It actually hurts their feelings that many of us feel this way.. They're not bad...

Yeah pot usually helps me to. It just became medically legal in Missouri. Only 1 dispensary at the moment. Feds should just legalize it. All the states will be.

RL - I don't know if it's the THC or CBD, but it Works every time and I'm not changing it... Kind of cool that the cops can appreciate that it Works...

It's ashame that more people don't try this who also have terrible trouble Sleeping... Only takes One hit!! Works

Yes I understand! Being anxious keeps me awake and makes me avoid going to sleep. Lately I've been staying up really late, until 4 or 5 am, because I just don't want to go to sleep -- it's almost too much of an effort, too scary to go to sleep. That's just me though. There are many ways that being anxious can interfere with sleep.

Some things that help me: having a bedtime routine (go to the bathroom, brush teeth, put on pajamas, brush hair, put phone on airplane mode, get into bed, read a chapter of a book, turn off light, go to sleep), taking 5 mg melatonin before I go to bed, making sure I've been eating enough, having a somewhat consistent bedtime, saying "I'll deal with it tomorrow"

The thing that really gets to me is there is no drifting to sleep. I toss and turn for hours on end and all of a sudden I am asleep. Then when I wake up I am more tired than when i went to bed.

Completely understand..it's a constant battle every day. I wonder myself if it will ever end or at least subside some. It is overwhelming.

Yes, you came to the right place. I haven’t been sleeping really for years. I can go to sleep but I can’t stay sleep. I am easily awake and as soon as my eyes are open I am up. 2 to 3 hours later I’m falling asleep but I have to work. I don’t know but I really think if I had that bodyTo hold me or be next to me making me feel safe I can go to sleep. But I don’t so sometimes when I’m so sleep deprived I take a muscle relaxer to go to sleep and or children’s Benadryl. Nyquil has some sleep time medicine That doesn’t supposed to be habit-forming
