Every morning I wake up full of anxiety and dread of the day ahead of me, just pace the house unable to concentrate on anything, can’t read or watch tv, now struggling to leave the house or interact with people
But by around 7 in the evening I’m like a different person, not anxious able to watch tv programs.... I just don’t get it???

I was going to say exactly the same, mornings and getting up or trying to and lying in bed and struggling through the mornings and on with evenings feeling back to normal, so frustrating. However I would say my morning anxiety is getting a little easier with time on my antidepressant and once I'm up having a little walk or keeping busy with something gentle helps.
Yeah strange isn't it eveni gs are so much better for me too I can do anything I wouldnt normally do in the morning infact its impossible for me to do anything in the morning hope you have a pleasant evening 😊
Maybe try and do a few tiny tasks. I agree that the pandemic situation is just making me feel really anxious and home is my safe place too. It will improve I keep thinking it is only a tiny part of our lives overall, even if it's a year or a bit more, we will come through. Loads of people must be in the same situation. Mental health issues must have soared. Was doing okay till we hit lockdown, can get through and out the other side in time xxx
Its dreadful isn't it but I've noticed once I move around It eases a little but the dread is still there and then its same everyday till the next morning anyway its nit very nice to deal with all the time
Morning anxiety is quite normal for those with over sensitive nervous systems caused by anxiety disorder.
As you wake your body gives you a boost of cortisol and adrenaline to help you start your day. Anxiety disorder causes too much of these hormones to be released. When you arise you gradually burn off the excess and by lunchtime or evening you're feeling better. In fact you can't believe you're going to feel so low again come morning.
This will help you. Have a cup of green tea on waking, it contains L-Thianine which is an antidote to cortisol, it will help moderate the bad feeling. Then lie in bed on your back for a quarter of an hour's breathing exercises.
Slowly inhale through your nose, hold your breath for 5 seconds then slowly exhale through pursed lips. And repeat and repeat but it must be slowly.
This releases natural tranquillisers which will ease your first-thing-in-the-morning feeling.
