Brain zap

Anyone else experience these before? I’ve learned that they’re common when people experience withdrawal from their meds but I have never taken meds before. After researching I’ve concluded that what I experienced was a brain zap.

On a note of levity, I hope U R referring to Les Paul the iconic guitarist, I'm Shnookie and have withdrawn from my meds twice. Once because of finances and the second time because the fucker pharmacist at CVS last Thanksgiving would not give me my Clonozapem because he claimed it was too early to pick them up. It is living hell going thru withdrawal both emotionally and physically. By the end b4, I could finally pick up my Clonopen, I felt like I was going to jump out of my skin. I couldn't drive my car to CVS and my good friend drove me to CVS on Saturday morning after Thanksgiving and I popped a pill in the waiting area. It still took almost a whole week for my body to readjust. I beg U if U did the research as an intellectual pursuit, view it as such. It's hell on earth going cold turkey. my body was writhing on the couch and I kept thinking if my relatives got thru the holocaust, I'm Jewish and my father was a child survivor then I can get thru this. My muscles stiffened up it was hell on earth. Please be safe during COVID and if U plan to go on meds do it under your

doctor's supervision

Brain zaps are caused by neurotransmitter imbalances. This is why brain zaps are caused by antidepressant withdrawal, can happen if yo miss a dose or two as well.

Self diagnosis isn’t a way to factually know what may be wrong with us, especially if you have health anxiety. On the err of caution If you believe you have neurotransmitter imbalances (we have about 50 brain neurotransmitters in the brain), suggest seeking the guidance of a Neurologist.

Good that it didn’t hurt.ine hurt a lot and some don’t but scares the heck out of me. And yes it sets off panic and stress and anxiety. Hopefully you won’t experience anymore.

I would definitely suggest talking to your doctor about this. It is from an anti depressant withdrawal and that feeling is the worst. It may also be telling your brain that you are withdrawing your medications too fast. So definitely speak with your provider about it!

I don’t take any meds that’s why I’ve been in a lot of stress about it but the one I experienced wasn’t painful. Due to the pandemic it’s hard to get an appointment but I’m definitely gona talk to my doctor about it
