i'm with it for more than a year now..i helps with sleep and appetite but for my anxiety and depression not quite.but anyway it doesn't mean that if the hat doesn't fit me it doesn't fit you either so just give it a try for a bit longer.just a thought..wish to find wellness for both of us.

Thank you for your reply, I am getting some better more calm and content moments, but still all a bit of a bumpy ride, some crying spells, wee bit derealisation, (horrible) and some anxiety, (especially in shops when you gotta put mask on) I am praying that this will level off to a more consistent calm and content feeling and that as I am starting to have better times, tat that is a good sign, also weirdly remembering happier times from earlier in my life that I haven't thought about for years, (again, hopefully my brain rembering how to be content).

Thank you and best wishes.

Hi did you come off sertraline and how long did you persevere with it I have got horrendous side effects on it this is my third week

I came off Sertraline very early, (before givng it a chance) but that was mainly cause my anxiety was so bad at the time, so any side effect was amplified. I had a bad panic episode today with the Mirtazapine about 5 weeks in, though I have been having some better moments, just wish it would level off. Everyone is different and how we respond to these things, hopefully yours will settle down soon. I know the unpredictability is hard, guess we just gotta trust. It is quite normal to get a wee bit worse before it gets better, (small concilation when you're going through it, I know). We just have to take it one day at a time, we will get there, even if it isa bit bumpy at the moment, the good times will come soon.

Hi Rosco49 I’m on Mirtazapine (2 weeks) and it’s been amazing for me!! I’m sleeping at night which I hadn’t done in so long even with zopiclone!! I’m eating a lot but I am happy with this as I was always feeling sick with nerves. My outlook is much more positive and I have loads of energy, it can be frustrating but please stick with it some people take a bit longer to notice change with this medication. Hope you start to feel better soon x

Hi Lizzie and thanks for your reply, I'm so glad you are doing well, am better than I was couple months ago, (which was rock bottom), perhaps that's why it's taking longer to work as I was in such a low place. I have been sleeping better, but anxiety and mood are still a work in progress. Had bit ofa panis attack today, which I haven't had in years, scared me, I pray and hope this was just a blip and part of my healing process, so glad yours has been quicker and smoother, wishing you continued calm and contentent.

Hi Rosco, just wanted to pop in and ask how you are getting on with mirtazapine? I’m now tapering off them as every couple of months my anxiety has came back and for longer each time.
