Hi all. Does anyone take Mirtazapine? Just wondering how they find it. I've been on it for two weeks now. Scared of gaining weight.

Mirtazapine helped me a lot with anxiety but I gained weight on it. I thought the late night cravings would subside but they never did.

Hi. Did you end up coming off it

I only use it when needed for sleep because it makes you drowsy. I did Ketamine Infusion therapy a while back and that lessened my anxiety to tolerable levels.

Hi there, I have been on mirtrazapine for just over 2 weeks

still getting used to the side effects, which I hope will go away when my body gets used to it.

Lightheaded and dizzy feelings sleepiness which goes on for most of the day. I don't have a problem with the weight gain as I am underweight. My gp says to take it for 2 more weeks to see if my body adjusts to it, and said it can take between 4 and 6 weeks to feel the real benefits!

Hi Denis 2019. I'm in same situation as you. Im on week three now taking this. I'm hoping that if I watch what I eat then hopefully won't gain as much. But if I gain to much weight I will tell the doctor that I want to come off them. Thankyou for your input🙂

I took Mirazapine for a month and noticed my appetite increased . I decided to change it because I didn’t like the weight gain. It did work for sleep wise but I built up a tolerance and by the end of the month I knew I would need a higher dose. I switched it to Trazodone 50mg I take at night

Hi Blu_A25 Yeah it's calmed my moods anxiety and thoughts but if I gain weight then my self esteem is affected badly. Its usually the way with meds. Can't win

I've just come off Mirtazapine having been on it for just over six months. Felt it helped with my sleeping patterns, but the side affects included feeling terribly tired in the mornings, and weight gain -- i constantly felt hungry and put on over a stone

Hi. Thankyou for your feedback. I've come of Mirtazapine now. On Sertraline and antihistamine to help me sleep. Wish I could sleep without any help but my anxiety keeps me awake every night. Hope you doing ok
