I’ve been under so much stress and one of my weird OCD habits is swallowing excessively over and over when I get a bad thought. I’ve now got laryngitis and it’s got worse the last week. I am unsure whether this is from me being extra anxious and doing it more and more.
Is this possible?

Excessive swallowing won't give you laryngitis. There's no way you can damage your voice box by repeatedly swallowing your saliva.
In fact, the treatment of laryngitis also includes keeping your throat moist. So believe me, your swallowing activity is not causing any harm. However, please be aware that laryngitis could also indicate an infection. Kindly consult a doctor and if you're afraid to go to one, at least inform him/her about your symptoms.
Thank you for your kind reply, the day it came on I used loads of bleach around the house and it started that afternoon... I’m not sure it could irritate me for so long though. I’m very stressed and have to keep shushing my teething baby and my family think it’s all this combined as when she screams I am making the shhhh sound over her 🤷🏻♀️
Oh! You might be right. Bleach can indeed irritate your throat but it won't give you laryngitis.
Shushing could possibly affect it to a certain extent. Again it won't give you laryngitis, unless you scream or growl.
I would suggest you not to worry. As a precautionary measure, could you inform your doctor about your symptoms and the exact nature of inflammation? That would help in ruling out any serious infection...
