What are the side effects of coming off sertraline

Are there side effects? Does everyone experience them? Is giddiness among them? How long does it last?

I found more side effects on the drug than off it. Dizziness is one side effect of sertraline so it may happen as you come off it. You may have vertigo. I’m not sure if that’s related to the drug. You can get help for vertigo by certain head movements and manipulation, but I’ve never had that treatment. My experience with vertigo was that it lasted for a few days, gradually getting better. It’s not a nice experience. About sertraline, I couldn’t stand the dry mouth and difficulty sleeping. I was relieved to be able to live without taking it. Best of luck!

I'm trying to come off and feel wierd too. 2 weeks half dose, then stop. Was fine until 8 days after stopping. Strange feeling. Light headed, balance feels off, background headache, eyesight odd when move eyes too quickly.

From what I have read here, this can happen but only lasts a short time. Going to ask the Dr today. I want to know how long "short" is. A few days and ican stick it out. Longer and I might need help. Mood is OK, just this light-headedness.
