Has anyone taken Ritalin had adjunct therapy - added to Prozac, Trazodone and Lamictal? Took 10mg today was pretty ok for 2 hours now I’m exhausted and back to feeling flat/empty!

Do you have anxiety with your depression? The reason I ask is my psychiatrist want me to try Ritalin with my Prozac but besides depression i also suffer from anxiety and am afraid it will make it worse.

I don’t have anxiety and am not sure what it will do - feel like a guinea pug try this try that

I’ve been saying that all along. I feel like they have a dartboard with meds to try and see where the projectile lands. Then they prescribe it.

I have a call in to my shrink with a couple of questions before I take it.

Journaling works to some degree in preparation for my counseling sessions. And it helps me get to the root of issues I can get to. But for the chemical imbalance in my brain believe I need meds. It’s the hit and miss process that is problematic. But I must say, so far so good after a large hiccup with an ARNP prescribing in the beginning. I’m feeling much better. Than I was during the breakdown.

I took Ritalin a few years ago, and it was great. Took the "clouds" away for a few hours. Did not get high, thankfully, but the negativity just disappeared. Unfortunately, I had to keep increasing the dosage to get the same effect--started at 20mg, ended up at 100mg for same effect-had to stop it. My wife has been taking 20mg for over 10 years and loves it-of course, she doesn't have my tolerance/addictive personality-maybe it will work for you the same way...good luck..
