Anybody else making themselves really ill with panic and anxiety attacks over the corona virus. I am so anxious I cant breath properly. Just can not get a deep breath in,but not breathless . No temperature or any other symptoms. It comes and goes so I'm pretty sure its anxiety. It's a vicious circle as i have asthma too ,so I'm anxious over the fact that it's making my asthma worse. My chest feels as if someone is sitting on it . It's making me so anxious now that I'm having panic attacks as soon as I wake, feeling as if I'm drowning making asthma worse. I have health anxiety so I focus in on every pain. I absolutely hate this. Like most people I am terrified of this virus. Please help.

hi sorry you are feeling this way but for you with asthma its really important to follow the guidelines.staying at home and staying safe will help and maybe not read to much about it maybe just once a day to get the latest.

Yes anxiety will make you feel ill, and having asthma combined is a hard one to deal with. I am almost 78 but I do not let it bother me. I have asthma, but it is Very mild. I am staying in my house, trips out to the balcony to suck up sun. I do not watch TV or read the paper. I get a few headlines on the computer, that keeps me up to date. I find lots of thing to keep me busy, keeping your mind and hands busy is a good way to calm yourself, do you have any jigsaw puzzles? Lots of games etc, on line. Read some good books, listen to some nice peaceful music, meditate, there is a lot to do if you look for it. Write to us, we will give you support and love.....Sprinkle 1 with love & hugs, peace of mind......

You are definitely not alone in feeling this way, especially us with anxiety issues.

My symptoms tag team me all day, and especially things to do with breathing... off and on chest tightness, today I'm having palpitations... dizziness...

I agree with others, try to stay away from the news and other things as much as possible.. stay home as much as you can.

Hope you feel better soon

Hi. I feel what you are going through right now. I have been self isolating since Tuesday and had to phone the Dr's for a sick not because I can not face going to work during this. I live alone just me and my little girl and she has a little cough since Sunday and it's really setting my anxiety off. I was having panic attack before it was even in the UK as my fobia is viruses and I am scared of getting ill. I have been feeling hot and sick the past 2 days and have a constant headache today thi king I have coronavirus. 😭 I keep getting scared that I am not going to be able to breath and keep checking my breathing. I can't wait for it all to be over. I don't know how much more I can take. Every day I am just looking for symptoms and having to bother people for reassurance.

You described exactly how I how I have been feeling lately. I went to my Dr. for an EKG because i was sure something was wrong with my heart. He confirmed nothing was wrong with me and prescribed prestiq. I started taking yesterday and havent felt an effect yet but I hope so soon. I do have a prescription for xanax which I try not to take daily but lately I have had too. It feels really good knowing I am not alone.
