Always worrying about something

So I don’t know if this is my anxiety talking but this whole corona virus thing is freaking me out. I’m now looking at every cold symptom I have as I have corona virus and I’m terrified. I feel like this bump when I swallow in the lower part of the right side of my neck and it freaks me out like crazy cause it kinda hurts when I do swallow.

Anthony, don’t worry too much about coronavirus. Yes it may turn out to be a pandemic but it’s not especially deadly; the flu kills WAY more people relatively speaking every year than this is doing. Maybe you’re just getting a cold right now or maybe you are experiencing that weird phantom lump-in-the-throat thing I get every few years. It’s maddening but not dangerous.

The corona virus really freaked me out at first when I had heard about it also but mainly because I was uneducated about it. I literally would only go out to go to class, eat or the gym and then lock myself in my room for the rest of the day. It’s honestly not as scary as all the coverage is making it seem. It would be exactly the same process and symptoms as if you had a normal cold unless you already have respiratory issues like pneumonia or something or are over like 70. Maybe just do a little more research on it to put your mind at ease because it definitely is not as scary as all the news coverage has made it seem out to be. Hope this put ur mind at ease even a little

Write a list of all worries.

Grade them from tops 3 biggest worries (e.g. having an infected knee should be a bigger worry than worry about what gift to buy to a friend next birthday). Then then next 4-6 (level II worries if you please) and then any other as leve III.

Now, you witre down potential pros and cons of each worry - why it is important to think about and also what it can change in your life, and what it cannot change, and improtantly - what actions can you take to end this problem. Do this for your top 3 worries.

Do a much shorter and less detailed list for your next three of five problems you wrote down.

After you have carefully filled this list, you will have a very good understanding and structure of what bothers you and what you actually can do. It will make you super relaxed.

Hey - even war is not that scary when you have a plan.

And what with Level III? Forget about those for a while, mate, you have Level II and !! Level I to solve first, what are you even thinking?!

:) good luck

Talk to your Doctor regards your bumps. This virus that is going on at this time, stop worrying, especially if you are young and fit, One in five can have concerns however over the years I have seen many epidemics and to be honest get on with your Life. If you are really concerned keep out of groups . Stop worrying, move on life would be boring if nothing happened. You worry and worry you will make yourself ill with Anxiety. If you are in an area away from large towns with travelers you will be ok.

However it may be a good idea to stock up on some food especially if the problem becomes worse
