ilovejc's journey to healing

Hello friend,

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and be with me today. This thread will be my place to be totally honest with where I'm at and how I'm doing, to not hide the dark parts of my mind and my life.

It is only by shining the light of God's love on the darkness within my mind that I can see it was never truly there, just as the darkness in a room disappears instantly when I turn on the light switch.

Thank you for being here with me on this journey of healing my mind, and thank you for doing your part in healing your own mind. As you heal your own mind with love and forgiveness, you shine your own inner light of healing out into the world for other unhealed minds to see and be healed by. Your own healing is a true service to this world in desperate need.

Welcome, ilovejc, and thank you for telling us how much religion has helped you to cope with anxiety and depression.

This is quite legitimate comment but what we have all agreed to here is not to cross the line and try to convince and convert others to our religious beliefs.

This forum is not the place for evangelising because all that happens is that the content of this forum becomes a vehicle for religious argument that detracts from its true purpose.

This view is part of the rules of this forum that are enforced by the Administrators.

Perhaps you would like to tell us of things that you have found to bring relief and respite other than your religious faith.

Hi Jeff1943, thanks for your response. Can you please direct me to where these rules are posted?

Scroll down to 'Terms of use' and read point 3. If anyone makes statements here trying to convert people to any form of religion it will be deleted by Admin. Scroll down further below 'Terms of Use' to 'Community Posting Guide Lines' where it is spelt out in more detail.

"We have received numerous reports centering around religious posts over the last few days. While sharing posts noting that you have benefited from religion in your own experience and using phrases such as "God bless" are acceptable, we ask that our users are mindful of the differing opinions and beliefs of the many users that access the site and, therefore, avoid sharing posts that could be deemed as promotion of their own beliefs on HealthUnlocked."

I am a believer myself but time and time again newcomers turn up here trying to hawk religion and it always ends in division and falling out which detracts from the good work of this forum. Just friendly advice.
