My failure in art

Aesthetics was always important

When young I dreamed of civic beautification projects and cleaning up our country

I tried hundreds of times to draw and bombed time and time again

Something finally clicked when I was thirty five

Turns out I need a reference photo as many artists do

And I needed to simplify the process

Just follow the outlines

Add the detail

Basic Betty Crocker approach but it works for me

The rest like cooking or anything

Is prsctice with constructive encouraging people or environment

If u said I would be an artist years ago I would have just pulled my hair out

Who would have thought

And it’s more affordable that my activities

Doesn’t have to be a masterpiece

I started with a simple happy daisy

A stem and loops

And instant friends

The rest is just practice
