It’s not easy

Hi, as a Mum of two late teens, my depression has led me to hell and back. My daughters at times have felt like my carers. But they have also given me every reason to keep going, even though I sometimes wished they didn’t exist because then I wouldn’t feel so guilty about not wanting to live. Now I’m getting better ( I hope), I feel a sense of trauma knowing where I have been and what my mind was capable of. I adore my daughters, and my husband. I’m so grateful they did give me the reason to live.

I'm a single mom of two children, 21 and 13, and I know what you mean, minus the husband. Hang in there and if your thoughts become suicidal, seek out a therapist.

in-for-the-long-haul, take a moment to breath. enjoy your daughters and husband. think about of the moment by moment basis. try reaching out to a therapist and try this confidential 800# 800-950-6264 or text "nami" to 741741 if you don't feel like talking to a person, you can text , its still confidential. this # is a huge help for me.
