Any form of exercise is good. You have to find something you like and commit to it.
Some people like to run it off.
I do a lot of yoga. I also incorporate other things like walking and weights and more cardio.
Personally I think it's all about making the commitment. Any exercise does great things for our body and mind.
I hope you find something you enjoy
My Councellor says tai chi and yoga because they do a lot of concentration and cross body moves which helps your nervous system. Tai chi is good for balance and very flowing. Once you learn it it’s relaxing.
For immediate help - try breathing exercise 4-7-8 (google it).
Massage helps a lot. Ask your friend, or buy a service from professional.
I personally found running very good. Biking - not so much). Once you hit that hyperventilation your brain goes "ok, I need to concentrate on not falling down, and got no time to be anxious"
And depends on person, but heavy, heavy weightlifting is wonderful. Takes a good year to get to that though. When I bench press heavy bar or dead-lift heavy I extort so much energy that the only thought in my head is "Lift, or die! ", lol, as it may be in case of bench press, when your arms fail, and you still need to go Goku supersaiyan and find some additional strength to push further
I think any kind of movement you enjoy is good. I personally like walking in the snow and find it calming and beautiful. I also like a barre class because its graceful and I like the instructor. Whatever we choose to do, just make it something you enjoy doing. It doesn't have to be formal exercise either, housekeeping, bird watching, playing with pets or children work too.
