I have a bad habit of overthinking. I’m pretty sure that’s part of my anxiety but it ruins my day and puts me in a horrible state of mind. I’m tired of it it’s exhausting but I don’t know how to shut my mind off. Leads to assumptions and anger. Any advice ?

I know exactly what you are saying, I go through the same thing. I would recommend meditating or doing something to keep you mind centered. It can be really frustrating but if you want to take you mind off it maybe try doing something like reading, listening to music or playing with your pets etc. Sometimes just knowing you're not alone helps
I have just finished a Course on Mindfulness, which has really helped me with my goal of how to live in the Present, stop worrying about the Future and letting go of any sadness or regrets from my Past. (Other goals are available Obviously Meditation is a part of Mindfulness.
yes, I can relate. you are right, overthinking is connected to anxiety. when it happens, try to ask yourself what is real, what is the "here and now". think of the immediate right now. how does it relate. what is the most important. channel the extra thoughts to good energy ... activity.
