Anxiety

Has anyone ever had anxiety wake them out of sleep? I woke up about 3 am to my heart racing. It only lasted about 15 min, but I’ve never had it wake me out of sleep like that before. I just started taking buspar yesterday and I was going to try and wean myself off my propranolol. I didn’t take my propranolol last night, so now I’m thinking I should wait a few weeks before I try and wean myself off.

It’s happened to me multiple times. It’s the worst feeling.

I’d wait before weaning yourself off.

When it happened to me it just happened; by that I mean I wasn’t on new meds or weaning myself off.

Best of luck to you ♥️

It’s been awhile since I’ve dealt with my heart racing like that. It scares me. I think I am going to wait now. No harm in taking them both.

Thank you. You too❤️

Please talk to your doctor before stopping your propanalol. It should be done under medical advice. Are you sure the racing heart was not palpitations rather then anxiety?

I take my propranolol for my anxiety. I was put on it because my heart would start racing a bunch and I couldn’t get calmed down. I’ve been to a cardiologist and they said everything was fine. I get palpitations occasionally. I’ve been dealing with palpitations since I was 15, I’m 28 now. I’m just kind of assuming it was anxiety because I was dealing with anxiety before bed. But after that I probably will talk to my doctor.
