I don’t know if I am allowed to post this question, but does anyone have any experience with CBD oil for anxiety and/or insomnia?

CBD oil is legal everywhere (or at least almost everywhere)– it's not like medical marijuana, so your question should be fine! I have tried it, and found it somewhat helpful. To me, it felt more like it was "taking the edge off" of the anxiety, not removing it, which obviously would've been great if it were a magic medicine, but it was still better than nothing. Because of this, it's a nice tool to have in your therapeutic toolkit. Someone in the psychiatric world shared with me anecdotally (because CBD oil isn't FDA approved, no psychiatrist is allowed to prescribe it as a medicinal treatment, but they can share anecdotally what they have heard about it and patients' anecdotal experiences with it) that many of their patients have felt a benefit from it. She also said that research is lacking on long-term effects, so it is not necessarily safe for long-term use, but some doctors use it for seizure treatment for children. This psychiatrist told me that it would probably be the best idea to get high-quality (and thus, more expensive) oil, and she said the brand most hospitals use for anti-seizure treatment is Charlotte's Web. I think the general sized bottle is about $60 which is somewhat absurd, but you know you are getting high quality. Additionally, there are some local and online distilleries that could have high quality but cheaper options, I would just be careful with the stores in strip malls and on street corners that sell it along with gummies, lollipops, and other kitschy items.

Overall, I'm glad I have it for when nothing else seems to work (I have some anxiety rescue meds like gabapentin and propranolol that have worked in the past but now seem to be less effective), but it's not a cure all in my experience. Best of luck if you try it out! Hope your anxiety is reduced soon.

I don’t use meds for my anxiety, as bad as it’s gotten at times. I do use cbd oil.

I take a few drops underneath my tongue at night and drink some chamomile and it helps me. I also have a cbd pen. (Smoke)

I only hit it a few times when I feel a panic attack coming on. Definitely helps. I think you just have to be careful where your getting it from.

I buy mine from a website that distributes from Colorado.
