Anxiety before wedding

Anyone else suffered mega anxiety and crying attacks in the months leading up to an important life event? (I'm getting married August 17). I cannot stress enough that I love this man so much and he is so good to and for me..... I'm just stressed about the actual day and all those people and I get pvcs and I'm stressed I'll have a bunch thay day and have to go to the hospital that day or ruin the day. Or I have a hugely irrational fear that I will die before the day. It's plaguing me. Any kind words or support are appreciated.

It's so sad to me that on such a special time of your life you are having such anxiety. You should be enjoying the journey, not stressing over it.

I'm sorry you are going through this

It is normal to feel anxiety before your wedding. All will be well x

Sorry to hear about the mega anxiety and crying attacks. I doubt that I would be doing half as well. My wedding day was great except for my anxiety around two of my family members attending (they were also my abusers). My anxiety was so bad that it affected our honeymoon. I did start to recover two days later. And now I look back and say that I did amazingly fantastic considering it all! I’m proud of you for sharing and reaching out. We believe you and are here to support in healthy ways.

Thanks for the kind words:-) I'm seeing a counselor and we're going to try hypnosis.... Imagining the wedding day going well and being calm and happy while under hypnosis. It's worth a shot!!! I don't want to have to pop two ativans before walking down the aisle 😂

🤗hugs

Despite what your anxiety may be telling you, you are an amazing fantastic person, fully worthy of marrying your love, and fully worthy of that love being celebrated in healthy ways by others.

You are demonstrating your love for yourself by reaching out here. 🏆

You’re also witty and I could see you up at the altar, pausing to say out loud “hold on I need to take an Ativan” and popping a big handful of tic-tacs into your mouth, letting out a sigh, then saying out loud “ok, I’m all good now”. 🤪

My graduation results are tomorrow, august 13th, and since april i have been having the same exact worried, im not worried about messing up at the end i did study like i should have but the fear of anticipation and the wait, in addition to some fear thats associated with failing maybe ir dissapointment, Sometimes we panic but when the day comes we are much calmer and can handle what we think we wont

Out bodies are extremely strong, and last year i got a panic attack waiting for similar results and it was terrible but it turned out fine , so what im trying to say is that dont overthink things and dont try to resist your fears, accept the, go have a panic attack its ok , it will be less scary when you imagine the worst case and realize it wont happen because you are strong enough trust me , the fear will fade as soon as you chase it , because it no longer has the power it did , i wish you all the luck ❤️❤️

I completely understand your feelings. And I agree, It's ok to feel anxiety before something important. I had a wedding for about 3 months ago and I wonder now how I stayed alive, because the pressure was huge. Thnks to my husband ans our friends, I was able to stay almost completely calm and relaxed. The wedding in general was amazing, we hired cool guys from poptop.uk.com/venues/weddin... who also helped in organizing the event. They're real professionals.
