Insecurities and change

I feel like there are many things I could work on with myself. I’m not really sure how to go about them though. I want to be someone with a backbone and stronger voice for myself. I want to be someone that’s not worried about what everyone (friends, family, coworkers...) thinks of me. I want to be someone that can tell people things openly or even just say no without worrying about if they’re upset and making sure that they’re happy or fine. I want to change these things but I really don’t know how or where to start? 😕

Well if you were that's what 90% of people want to be like. Most of us are human enough to worry what others think coz that's normal. What isn't is to worry overmuch about it which is what depression and anxiety can do to us. Never compare yourself to others coz that is a mugs game. You are you and unique and you have to find your own way in life.

Congratulation for coming in here and for recognising that you have issues and want to change. That is a major step forward.

We all have backbone but what we have to do is to learn to utilise our own strength to fight our illnesses. Are you having any counselling? That would seem to be the way forward. x
