Hi guys had a huge pain in my chest and ribs to the point I'm doubled over...I wrote a few days ago about me having a rapid heart rate and chest pain well a hour ago it got a good hold of me went to A+E had a ecg and OBBS taken ecg came back normal keep going hot with a numbing feeling in the back of my throat...I've had anxiety and health anxiety for a long time and if this hot flushes and throat numbness is down to my anxiety it's a new symptom has anyone else gone through this...I'm still in a+e waiting for primary care to send me home this has scared me though hugely

Nat, don't put it past anxiety in what symptoms it can bring to us.

I've had both the hot flushes and throat numbness in the past.

The tenseness will take hold of any muscle it can and this time it

probably chose the throat. Our temperature regulator gets thrown

off when in the state of anxiety, although medications can cause that

as well.

You are in the best of hands in the ER. Let us know what they say

and when you get out. Good Luck... We're here with you xx

Thanks for the update Nat. I have had Costochondritis for many years

as an off shoot of Fibromyalgia. It can get better as time goes by and in

how you treat it. I use heat paks but actually have had less and less of any

flare ups. I wish you well and know that you are not alone. Feel better soon. xx
