You have a feeling something bad is going to happen to you. Say I Accept the feeling for the time being and carry on.
You feel awful if you leave the safety of your home. Say I Accept the feeling for the time being and go for a walk.
You have chest pain your doctor says isn't due to your heart. Say I Accept the pain for the time being and get on with your life.
You have stomach pain the hospital has confirmed isn't a tumour. Say I Accept the pain for the moment and carry on.
You have social anxiety that makes you feel awkward with people. Say I Accept the feeling for the moment and go to the party.
You feel devoid of energy on waking even though tests showed nothing wrong. Say I Accept the tiredness for the moment and go shopping.
You're scared to drive your car in traffic though you know you're a careful driver. Say I Accept my fear of driving for the time being and visit a friend by car.
You can't truly accept something and fear it at the same time.
Say I Accept.

AMEN old friend! UTTER Acceptance.........utter, utter utter acceptance. This has "moved me" to be able to get around everyday to all of my appointments and chores, without having to cancel them, at this time!
And with persistence there is every reason to believe you will recover your quiet mind👍👍
Thanks, Jeff.. I find my health anxiety to be worse based on my readings online (that I shouldn’t be doing). Maybe I should try reading more positive posts. The struggle continues but there’s light on the way.
I totally will. I’ve been struggling bad! My doctor told me to go off Zoloft because it made things way worse. I’ll def try this out I’m motivated to feel better!
Do not fight your anxiety. Anxiety causes more tension, more strain. You need less not more of these. Instead of fighting, frame your mind to accept all your symptoms for the time being. Engage in masterly inactivity. Let the symptoms come, everything from panic attacks to agoraphobia: do not seek to evade them. Instead stand your ground, they cannot harm you, the symptoms of anxiety are fake: they cannot kill you, disable you or make you lose your mind.
Let the panic attacks and bad feelings rush forward and break over you, even as the incoming sea hurls itself against the rock, rushes past it and recedes. The rock endures. You are that rock.
You will not always feel like this. You are in no danger. Our recovery begins when we stop frightening ourselves half to death every five minutes.
