Hi have Been on SSRI for 9 years mainly for anxiety, came off last year June 2018 was ok until December, terrible anxiety came back so in January 2109 my doctor prescribes me Vortioxetine, I have now,started to come off them as they increased my anxiety, I am going back on Escitalpram or sertraline as they where great at stopping my anxiety.

My story is almost identical to yours, I was on citalopram for 4years and really thought I’d got this depression/anxiety thing sorted. Stopped taking them around June and by late November early December it all started to comeback. Had a kind of nervous break down last week and now I’m starting back on the meds again. Looks like I’m gonna be on them for life. Hope you’re feeling better now anyway.
