gerrerd. That message is exactly what takes to recover from anxiety and depression. An attitude of acceptance. What will be, will be. The sooner people realise this, the better. Unfortunately, the natural instinct is to fight it which means adding more stress and tension which just keeps the whole fear-adrenalin-fear cycle going. If sufferer’s learn to let go, those pesky symptoms will disappear. Anxiety does not have a grip of the sufferer, the sufferer has a grip of the anxiety (by fighting the thoughts and feelings) which is why letting go works. By giving up trying to control anxiety, you regain control.
