Zoloft : Any success stories with... - Anxiety and Depre...
Zoloft
Following...my doctor just prescribed yesterday. I haven't taken it yet.
hi Julie ive just replied to debela.about this ,it is what you are trying to find out
if you can find my reply,it might help you.best of luck .
I guess my concern is how to overcome the first couple of weeks.
Julie there is a lot of medications out there that may help. I have been on 6, started my last one about 4 weeks ago. The hardest part about it is they typically take a while to know if they are helping or not. I find it hard to start a new one every time the last one doesn’t help, I feel even more beaten and lost helpless and a failure. But time and time again I eventually seek help to try something. The plain fact is, if you need help, seek help, it’s out there. Doctors will work with eating, sleeping, etc disorders as well. I suffered from bulimia for short time period in my early college life and my dr started me on new meds and I met with a nutritionist. I couldn’t Afford the up keep with it but regardless, they will always help.
To get back to your original post. I have been on Zoloft. I took it for about 10-14 weeks. It personally did not help my anxiety but did manage my depression for a short time. But it’s all about you, how your brain and the chemicals in your brain respond. Zoloft may be the answer or it may be something else. I haven’t found my answer yet but it’s out there. I know we can all go on to live normal lives. At least that’s what I have to believe right now or I might not keep it together
I have been on Zoloft for 6 years. I take 75mg daily. It helped me recover from 40 years of Anorexia and controls my PTSD. I love it. Of course, there is no wonder drug. It took me six years of therapy and mental doctor to recover. I will be a life forever event I am sure.
