Your support was everything...nothing has changed, but in an unrelated surprise, someone else I'm close to finally admitted to me that they were an alcoholic...it took 35 years and, sadly, a lot of self-medicating, but it came out, softly, in a discussion...I'd tried to gently help this person, years back and was met with nothing but denial...and, I doubt that this topic will ever be raised, again. But, I applaud this person's strength to tell me...I know it wasn't easy, no matter the circumstances.
