Hi Southerntech, Welcome to our amazing support group. Tamka is spot on in
telling you that meditation and deep breathing can be the key to relieving your
stress while working. You would need to start practicing it at home several times
a day until it becomes habit for you to automatically start deep breathing when you
feel this happening at work.
I have used daily meditation and deep breathing for years now and can either
eliminate the anxious feelings or slow them down within moments. When you
deep breathe you cannot be anxious. They cancel each other out. The breath
must not be a shallow one but come from deep within your belly. As you exhale
do it slowly allowing for the adrenaline to lower... You've taken the first step in
coming on to this site. As you meet others on this forum, pick and choose what may
work for you.
Depending on what your job entails, you will be able to get back control of your
emotions. Practice makes perfect. I congratulate you on a job well done with your
depression. It will happen for anxiety issues as well.
