Pills/Feeling unreal, detached

I have brain fog for 2 years now and I've tried many things to get over it but it is getting away really slowly and I would need some pills to make me feel more real. I have a constant brain fog 24/7 and a terrible detachment from reality. Do you have any advices which pills (psychiatric) might help?

Hi af355 first of all you need to see a psychiatry since they are the one that can prescribe medication to you, and just to let you know that whatever he or she prescribed will be a trial and error. Hopefully what ever is prescribed to you works for you the first time, there's so many different kinds out there. Please be patient cause it can take up to six weeks before the medication kicks in. I've tried so many and what I'm taking now just help me here and there, and I still suffer from time to time. Be strong and be patient. 💜

Do I feel unreal? I don't know exactly what you mean. If you're referring to my anxiety I feel awful, dizziness, going to the bathroom alot, weakness in my legs, shakiness, heart palpitations, tightness of the chest, short of breath and it's hard for me to do deep breathing. God bless you 💛

Just wanted to know what you are experiencing. It might be that pills should work differently for me then.

Most of my problems come from this detachment and inability to think or be aware. I have some similar problems to yours though.

See a doctor and he or she can diagnose of what you're feeling. Take care of yourself. God bless you! Have a Peaceful day 💛

My advice is the same as Susan512 as far as the slow go and trial and error. There is help for you. I personally did not do well on Abilify and on Latuda. They actually made me have the feeling that I was underwater, with people but seperate from them. Do you have any other illness that might be causing this? Cancer treatment? I know it causes horrible brain fog. Hang in there because it really will get better. Also, diet, exercise, and sleep and also a friend who is there for you even if they can't relate to the fog. They know it is real for you. Sorry for the long post and I pray you get the right treatment and soon. BTW all the stuff I wrote that might help come from my experience only.
