Hi! So I’ve heard some people say to help with anxiety and depression that they cut out caffeine and take magnesium supplements. Does this actually work? What are your experiences with it?

I'm hoping somebody will say caffeine is okay but I know it is not. Sugar, alcohol, and caffeine are to be avoided from what i have read. Exercise and spirituality is good in combating depression .

Don't know about magnesium. Maybe Strongheartforever can weigh in. She is up on all that. 😊

Hi mhunnell19, I take magnesium occasionally for muscle spasms(pills and lotion). I don't actually know if it helps with the the depression.

Epsom salts are essentially magnesium. Take a warm bath with some, before bed and see if that helps you. I sleep like a baby afterwards. Plus, it's a nice treat to relax and soak in the tub.
