When your spirit is no longer

To me, your spirit and your body are 2 different things. So it really boggles my mind to think of death and simply not “being” anymore. Just because my body is hurt, my whole soul goes away?? Like that process is so interesting to me. Convinced (and because my therapist told me) thinking of this constantly is due to the deep depression that we’re trying to work on untangling me from.

I have this I think of this daily had intense therapy and my reasons for this is because I was a ill child for a long time and also because I was physically and mentally abused by my father from a young age physically and mentally...so now I'm mentally paying for it

The body being interconnected to a 'spirit'....or having a 'soul' goes back to the day of the first Shamans wondering if we die,....is that the end of our spirit or soul?....and if not the end...where does your spirit or your soul go to?. There are many spiritualists, and theologians who have answers to other realms where the soul and spirit go to after the death of the body. That your whole existence in life was lived with you by your spirit and your soul....it's a question asked and answered by those that think they know....but really....nobody really knows all the answers.

Spirit could be from another parallel existence from another dimension..close to our living body only within the distance of the smallest particles of our cellular sub-atomic make up....but never touching...such as in the 11 dimensions of 'M' theory. Who knows for sure. Matter could neither be created nor destroyed...so the question was: 'then where did the first matter come from?'...'the Higgs-Boson': the 'God Particle'....now proven and discovered. What is Dark Matter?....we certainly don't have all the answers....just lots of questions....so as far as the answer to if we have a spirit or soul?.....maybe.....it depends on what you choose to believe. Electrical energy powers the brain and all bodily functions....where does that spark of life begin, and how?....where does it goes when the body dies?....
