Hang in there. I’ve suffered from anxiety all my life. I’ve never used prescription meds for this or seen a therapist. One self help thing I’ve learned that’s really helped is controlling my self talk. There’s most books etc about it. One title I read was What to say when you talk to yourself. I realized that I beat the shit out of myself mentally. Once I learned to control that my anxiety was greatly reduced. I still have it but it’s a lot better and manageable.
I'm sorry your hurting and still battling those feelings of thinking about the 'S' word. I don't know if your in therapy or on meds...can you share a bit more about what's going on in your life. Depression and anxiety can be because we are just wired that way. Some deal with it through alternative means that work well for them. Others of us do what works for us. So explore some directions you may want to try...and most importantly...do what works for you, only you will know that.
You may never be completely free of anxiety/depression, bright. I've not been for over 30 years. But, you can learn to live with it, as i have. Nuture yourself, because no one else will and lots of things help. For me, it's art n crafts, music, reading a gritty novel, keeping fit by Swimming n walking. For you it may be something different. Like most people "i am a work it progress". But, with work, you can live a peaceful n contented Life. Try not to look back. 😊🌻✌️
