Losing it.

I'm here with my family at a BBQ trying to keep my mind off my anxiety. But I can't seem to get any control over my feelings. I just want to go to my room and cry all night. I took my medicine & it's helping but not enough. Any suggestions on how to cope with it?

What i do in that situation is try to mentally go somewhere else, a city you want to travel to, a calm beach or forest, a night in with friends. Whatever takes you away and would be a calm environment for you. While it may seem rude to zone our, if you explain to family that you aren't feeling well, hopefully they will understand
