For you to sleep, you need to be relaxed. Anxiety is a form of fear. It is generated from your perception, what you are thinking about an event. When you think that something bad is going to happen, when you feel threatened, your body will generate energy+stress(you generate tension which will keep you awake and in a vigilant state) for you to do something about the thing that is making you feel this way. Be aware that some problems take time, but just making progress towards what you want will make you feel better, you will stop generating stress and you'll gradually feel more relaxed(which will help you fall asleep).
What triggers your anxiety?
What do you think will happen when you feel anxious?
How would you like to feel?
What would you need to feel that way?
What would be the first step to make progress towards what you need?
What is the second step? the third? etc.
I like what SebastianMax said very much, I also would say maybe have a cup of chamomile tea...it tastes nice and is known to help calm and relax.
