Hi everyone, I have been suffering with Agoraphobia for the last 2 years and are looking to speak to people that has the same problem that I have. I live in a very small town and I cannot leave town at all. I have panic attacks as soon as I start leaving town as I am afraid of leaving the safety of the town.

I had a bought of agoraphobia back when I was first diagnosed with panic and anxiety in 08. It lasted about 6-8 months. There was like an invisible 5 mile radius from my home that I could not go past for whatever reason without developing a panic attack.

I deal with this to a certain extent. Traveling used to be no problem at all and now it seems to be quite difficult. Even driving outside of my comfort zone can send me into a tail spin. I make sure to take medication if I'm not able to cope on my own and am trying to push myself.

I try to remember that bad thoughts do not become reality. I also try to remind myself that discomfort is temporary.
