all the drugs for AF that i am on dont counterinteract with amitrypine but it can cause af in people who are in af in the past

So, Atrial fibrillation (an irregular and often very rapid heart rhythm). And one of the the most common side effects of amitriptyline is drowsiness, dizziness, and abnormal heart rhythms. I would suggest not. Talk to a doctor, all the very best.
