Taking rivaroxaban
Hi Wellingtonboots1234, Gosh that's a poser to me. I really don't know if it is significant or not. But I do always think with a new medication that, if anything unexpected and new pops up, it's worth asking! But unless another member of the group can help, I'd honestly recommend asking a health professional for the definitive answer, then you won't have to live with the worry that it might be significant.
I think everyone's veins are up just now as it's so unseasonably mild! But if it worries you, check with your specialist.
Thank you for the advice will ask xxxxx
I'd give a call to the pharmacist if you are hesitant to contact your doctor.
I still have a haematoma just inside my left knee after about 5 years. Ugly red patch. I had several but the others faded away after I switched to Apixaban.Funny, I had bad Varicose Veins since age 19 and my surgeon cured them when I had a Stent in the Aorta, inserted thro the groin. He'd never coma across that before! Obviously the valves were affected...
My veins stand out if dehydrated . Back of hands . Try drinking more water . Plus the pinch skin spring back Test. If doesn’t spring back - dehydrated. Cold weather makes my veins stand out. Losing weight if unwell also . Less fat . Blood thinners and statins thin plaque and fat in one’s blood right? So veins stand out . I would not worry or panic . Photo to haematology team . NO 1 Throw sharp knives out. Buy pre chopped vegetables . Cutting one’s self is a shock . Wear a helmet if you ride wheels. Get rid of trip hazards in home . Are you on it temporarily or permanently . ?
