Looking for a little help?
Hi, I've had Addison's for just over 10 years and I think fatigue is part of it, when was you diagnosed and do you see a Endocrinologist regularly to have your blood levels checked? I have a appointment every six months as mine is controlled pretty well. Sometimes when I'm very fatigued I increase my Hydrocortisone sometimes I quadruple my dosage, depending how low I get. I think that is important especially with a cold ect.
Best wishes
Steve
Thanks Steve, I was diagnosed with AMN with Addisons just over 11 years ago,I see an endocronologist every 6 months with regular blood tests, even upping my meds sometimes has little effect I wonder if it is bouts of depression that is the underlying cause? I struggle to keep motivated with any excercise regime as they have had very little effect, I am still working and remain quite active but find it hard to keep positive as the last year has seen a dramatic decline in my mobility. Thanks

Hi g1psy
Have you had a chance to perhaps make contact with someone else with AMN near to you? Sometimes just chatting things through with a fellow AMN-er can work wonders, just to realise that others share your troubles.
You haven't marked your location, so you won't be able to use HealthUnlocked to see if anyone is near to you.
Best wishes
Chris
Hi Chris, I'm new to all this online technology so will look at my profile and update things, Thanks.
Yes. I was diagnosed with AMN in 1998, but the symptoms began appearing in the early 90s. Initially the symptoms were pain in legs and feet which gradually got worse. I could get around with just a can for 10-15 years. As the disease progressed, fatigue has increased, like you it doesn't matter how much sleep I get. My energy level is constantly decreasing with time. As you know, AMN is a miserable condition and this is just one of the many symptoms we must endure. I was diagnosed with renal failure this year. Don't know if it is related to the AMN. No family history, good diet, exercise when I could, not overweight.
