Hi, I have been suffering lately with pain and bad spasm's and someone on another forum suggested evening primrose oil to help with pain? I googled it and found it contains GLA (Gamma Linolenic Acid) I googled this and found that starflower oil has more, I got some Seven Sea's Health Oils Perfect Harmony, Fish oils blended with evening primrose and starflower oils. I have been taking them for about 10 days and I haven't noticed any difference with my pain, but by luck my bladder has improved, I have very high pressures in my bladder and need to catheretise myself, I've been urinating about 10 times a day but for the past 2 days I've noticed I don't get any urgency and only urinated 6 times and I normally wake up in the morning busting to go but today I wasn't and I didn't urinate until 1.55pm! and its now 9.37pm and I've only been another twice! I definatley think there is something in that supplement? also they only cost me £3.79 for 30 one a day capsules and they are on ebay £4.95 for 90 capsules 121033007344.
Best wishes and a very happy new year

Hi Steve. This sounds good, I don't have a problem with pain but do have a lot of urgency and frequency. I finished a course of PTNS a few weeks ago and that definiitely seems to have helped but I still get some urgency/frequency in the mornings. I will give this a try and let you know how how it goes.
I have been taking Evening Primrose Oil for several years. However, the only reason for doing this is that it is recommended as a co-factor to increase the effectiveness of Saw Palmetto which I have also been taking for this time.
Saw Palmetto capsules were believed to reduce the enlargement of the prostate - the condition called Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), which 8 out of 10 older men experience. However the most recent Cochrane Database review
