Got to keep moving.

Groundbreaking research shows that neurological health depends as much on signals sent by the body's large, leg muscles to the brain as it does on directives from the brain to the muscles.

Hardly "groundbreaking", but it's as good a reason as any to stay active.

Undoubtedly true, monkeybus. Thanks for sharing. I really try to be as active as possible on my good days. Today was one, and I spent almost two hours weeding out in the yard. My knees and joints are a bit achy now, but it was worth it. The wife is happy to see our flowerbeds now.

You are over in England, correct? How's the weather over there this time of year? Do you get out and walk often?

Weather not too bad at the moment. I get out every day, usual cycling. I can walk but it tires me out.

I'm active and will stay active for as long as I can, even as it becomes more difficult. Thank you for sharing.

Wow...very interesting! Definitely a kick in the rear to not give up the load bearing exercises when I get tired and frustrated and feel like giving up and even more incentive to get back to it. I absolutely noticed significant improvement in ways that the docs couldn’t understand when I was working out hard and with challenging and strenuous programs especially my very short stint in martial arts...more than simply “improved strength”...things that didn’t really make sense like significantly better balance, better coordination and even less pain and more correct sensation and proprioception. Then I broke my ankle and slid way down into the physical and mental depression that I haven’t been able to crawl out from for 2 years now and my function has taken a nose dive.

Time to get back on track!

Thank you!

The regular yearly Herpes zoster vurs activation is gone.

The price to pay, 5 weeks without fitness.

Now I am back, 5 times fitness weekly.

I have always been active. Worked out for 30 years now (running and weights). I have been recently diagnosed with AMN. Medication does not work for me. Exercise seems to relief my pain so I will keep moving as long as I can. When I am sedentary, the pain definitely increases. You are right---got to keep MOVING!

If anything it evidences the power of simple exercises/stretching/massage, etc. Simply a matter of sending the signals both ways.

If only I could find someone prepared to give me a massage. I used to get my son to walk up and down my legs but now he is a teenager it just plain hurts.

Also, it shows the power of 4-AP. Not only helps me walk, but I can feel the tiniest sensations. Excellent.

This is the validation I need when I struggle at the gym. I do incorporate leg weights and perform squats using an exercise ball against the wall. It's a challenge but I find this research empowering. Thanks for the lift!

Keep those feet moving! Recently I have also felt that exercise has lowered my leg stiffness and pain. I definitely can’t run a marathon, but just keep them moving!
