Addison’s disease AMN and COQ10
Assuming you are taking a cortisol steroid for your Addison, you are best to take up that question with your doctor.
I'm 60 and have had Addison's since I was 13. I now have AMN, which I have had for the last 20 plus years. I now walk with 2 canes. I see that the COQ10 is available from health food stores. Like the previous reply said, keep taking your steriods and discuss it with your doctor. I would be interested to hear if you do start taking it and it helps.
I started taking COQ10 it last year, but I was on oral Baclofen and it was really terrible I had to taper of it and stop it. Did your doctor give you Baclofen before? I don’t recommend it at all? My neurologist prescribed it for me last year and he told me to taper of it after a a few months. I was diagnosed with Addison’s disease at 8. I am 38 now. The doctor told me that COQ10 gives you energy and can help in stabilizing the situation somehow. I am doing fine with it but in a low dosage, around 60mg daily after breakfast. My spasticity is severe. I think Baclofen worsened my situation. I take 5 mg prednisone and 0.1 mg florinef in the morning and 2.5 mg prednisone in the evening
