Has anyone with an atrial tachycardia still getting flutters, palpitations and odd chest sensations like prickliness and pressure pain in arm and shoulder after a year on nebivolol initially 5mg but currently at 3.75mg daily. My cardiac consultant says heart rate is well under control and no longer showing the racing pulse of tachycardia and he is confident my symptoms are not cardiac related but doesn't know why I'm still getting the symptoms and palpitations. Am currently waiting for a holter monitor to see if anything else shows up that may require treatment adjustment. All blood tests, x-rays and echo cardiogram were normal in the hospital but still having daily symptoms which as am sure people know are scary anything to do with the chest and heart is a source of concern hence it's so difficult not to fear something else is going on

Atrial tachycardia and nebivolol
Do you mind me asking: assuming that you are having the AT all the time (?), what was your heart rate (BPM) before the BB and what is it with the BB? Has an ablation for the AT been discussed?
Hi no cardiac consultant says my heart rate is no longer showing tachyarrythmia before betablocker it was going up to about 190 just by moving in a chair now it's about 110 max after brisk walking /exercise. Resting pulse in range of about 46 lowest to about 86. He mentioned ablation earlier on as a possibility but not with the well controlled heart rate so investigations still ongoing as to what is causing the chest symptoms and palpitations. Dr mentioned costochondritis /intercostal neuralgia as a possibility as it can mimic cardiac symptoms and cause palpitations too
It is impossible not to be fearful, especially with online information these days feeding our worries. I would, however, trust your cardiologist's report.
