Welcome to the forum Carol. Generally members here are singing the praises of Nebivol, but I know of people on here who can't tolerate any beta blockers at all and I hope they'll respond to your post.
Your chest feeling tight and heavy doesn't sound good, what did they say about that at A&E? Did they do a blood test to rule out a heart attack?
Hope you can get an answer from your medics quickly. I am with guys and st thomas too for afib and svt. Looked at your older posts and i have also had cardiac mri and cardiac ct there. Still awaiting mri results three months later.
Excellent medics not always easy to get through to them either by phone or email as is the way with nhs sadly. I trust medics there so i am confident they will sort you out. Was it their a and e you were in. Best wishes.
Yes i saw your burn photo, how odd. Did they give you any reason for it, was there an exposed wire or fault with the equipment. They will be ultra careful with you given your experience.
Pleased you have got a response from your medical team at hospital and a way forward agreed. Good luck with current treatment.
It was human error. The radiologist didn’t put anything between the ecg leads and my skin. The radiation heated the metal up and burned my skin.Lucky I was only in there 7 minutes. The doctor terminated the scan as my heart rate was too high.
I was supposed to be in there an hour!
Thank god I wasn’t.
Big investigation, obviously, they’ve admitted liability.
The scanner had no faults. They had to get Siemens in to test it.
A very harrowing experience.
I’m left with a scar.
I don’t want to scare anyone obviously, this was a very rare event and I’m sure lessons have been learned.
Yes 2 beta blockers made it feel like someone sitting on my chest. Also hyperventilating because I couldn't seem to get enough air in. Did help with the ectopic beats and a fib which at the time I didn't know I had. Verapimil is OK but my arrhythmia is persistent but the awful ectopics have lessened greatly. Lots of trial and error where meds are concerned. Best wishes.
